UNDERSTANDING THE INVESTMENT

Full-service interior design is an investment. We create a holistic design and sensory experience by taking every detail into consideration: room layout, function, tile, flooring, colors, lighting, textiles, and the final layer, decorative accents. It is a process that takes months of planning before we even begin execution. Due to the high level of involvement, you must be prepared for an investment. We charge a flat fee for all Full-Service Design projects based on project scope and square footage.

ESTIMATING YOUR RENOVATION AND FURNISHING INVESTMENT

To begin our months long collaboration, we want to understand your style and needs. Then we work to help you understand the investment based the scope of the project. Are we designing a powder room? Or a full home? It matters. On top of the assumed design fees, it is important that our clients understand the investment that should be allocated to source that custom sofa, vintage lamp, amazing wallpaper, draperies etc. While we specialize in mixing high and low, the costs add up quickly. Doing a renovation plus fully furnishing your space can cost up to $200 per square foot, not including design fees. If your scope of work, includes furnishing only, you can typically expect to spend half of that.

To understand what drives the cost of your interior project, consider:

  • Project square footage: A whole home costs significantly more than doing a Family Room and/or a Powder Room

  • The condition of your space: There can be surprises once we start to open walls in old homes

  • The level of quality and customization you are looking to achieve: natural stone, custom cabinetry, hardwood, handmade tile

  • Quality of furnishings: custom furniture, vintage pieces

Contact us to chat about your prospective project. We’d love to get the opportunity to get to know you.
